[NEW SONG AFTER WORK] iKON’s Emotion ‘RETURN’s in ‘LOVE SCENARIO’
[OSEN=김은애 기자] iKON made a ‘RETURN’, back to their initial emotions when they first made debut. They regained ‘sweetness’ with their song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’.
iKON released their 2nd official album ‘RETURN’ on January 25 at 6 PM through major music streaming sites. Their official album is consisted of 12 tracks including the one-title song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, ‘BEAUTIFUL’, ‘ONE AND ONLY’, ‘HUG ME’, and ‘DON’T FORGET’.
iKON’s leader B.I showed his growth as a producer by being credited as lyricist and composer in all tracks. The title song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ contains the musical colors of members since B.I participated in the writing and composing of the track and BOBBY participated in writing the lyrics.
iKON displayed unexpected charms by singing about a sad farewell on top of bright piano riffs.
The lyrics that calmly state, “We have loved, it became a memory we can’t erase, a fine ending from a decent melodrama, I have loved you”, arouses empathy from the listeners.
The music video displayed iKON’s maturity, a different image of iKON compared to what they have previously shown. iKON is known for their strong Hip-hop ‘swag’, but they focused on ‘emotions’ in the song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’.
The song carries a similar vibe to ‘MY TYPE’, a song released when iKON first made debut. Nevertheless, iKON shows a mature side of them and shakes the hearts of female fans with their experience. iKON’s handsome looks and trendy fashion styles are also impressive. They express a song with every single move, based on the sentimental melody.
Likewise, iKON successfully expressed their identity and growth through their 2nd album. The album also contains B.I’s solo song ‘ONE AND ONLY’, ‘EVERYTHING’ and ‘HUG ME’ which are songs produced under cooperation with PSY and TABLO, and other special bonus tracks that display iKON’s versatility.
Furthermore, iKON is planning to meet their fans through a fan meeting, a fan signing event, music broadcasts, and variety programs. As iKON have started their focus on the promotion of the album in Korea, people are wondering what kind of achievements iKON will accomplish with ‘LOVE SCENARIO’.
