[Oh!SEN Letter] “Is BIGBANG here?”… A foreign girl visiting YG is creating sensation on YouTube + social media
[OSEN=박소영 기자] BIGBANG is one of the class, as everyone already knows. Even for a 4-year-old foreign girl, BIGBANG is the star of the stars.
On April 24, a video titled “A 4-year-old girl goes to BIGBANG’s house” was posted on video-streaming website YouTube. According to the person who posted the video, 4-year-old Alice is a fan of BIGBANG’s.
In the video, Alice visits YG Entertainment bulding located in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, and asks a security guard, “Is BIGBANG here?” Alice is thinking that YG Entertainment building is BIGBANG members’ house.
The security guard tells Alice that BIGBANG is not there and Alice turns back to walk to her mother. Alice says “BIGBANG isn’t here”, expressing her disappointed feelings with her entire face. Viewers of the video cannot help but wear a “mom’s smile” on thier faces.
The person who shot the video asks Alice “BIGBANG is not there?” and she cutley answers “yes”. Seeing Alice walk holding her mother’s hand, viewers feel like they are aunties of Alice.
The short video is creating sensation on YouTube. It has already surpassed 210,000 views. It is drawing even bigger attention, spreading to other social media platforms and on-line communities.
The video is a kind of proof that BIGBANG’s popularity goes beyond the boundaries of country and age. Internet users worldwide who watched the video are showing enthusiastic responses, saying, “Alice is so cute”, “I’m so proud of BIGBANG”, “BIGBANG is really one of the class”, etc.
BIGBANG celebrated the 10th anniversary of their debut last year and swept the music scene in and out of the country once again with thier third full album “MADE”. With the big success of the “MADE” series, BIGBANG proved thier “class” and solidified thier global popualrity once again.
