‘YG GIRL GROUP’ BABYMONSTER Reveals 5th Member RORA…14-Year-Old Korean Trainee
[일간스포츠=권혜미 기자] YG Entertainment has been continuously releasing live videos of their new girl-group BABYMONSTER, amazing the public with the girls’ unrivaled skills and talent.
On the 30th, YG Entertainment put up a video titled ‘BABYMOSTER(#5)-RORA (Live Performance)’. RORA’s clip was revealed 5th following HARAM, AHYEON, CHIQUITA, and ASA. She sang Kiana Ledé’s ‘Forfeit’.
As a 14-year-old Korean girl, RORA immediately stole the attention with her lovely visuals. Her low tone took over away the hearts of listeners, and she shocked the public with her trendy grooves, going back and forth the rhythm and controlling her strength as if she were dancing on top of the music.
More than anything else, she kept a subtle smile while performing, showing how relaxed she was. She previously showed off her powerful dance skills in the performance clip which was unveiled before. Even though she hasn’t made her official debut yet, the clip was more than enough to hint at the birth of a new ‘Monster Rookie’.
BABYMONSTER is a multi-national girl group YG is launching in 7 years since BLACKPINK and most of them are known to be in their teens. Expectations are running high for the group, as all the members revealed outstanding skills so far, making it difficult to believe their young age.
Their popularity is reflected in the figures. Despite the fact they haven’t made their official debut, the number of their subscribers reached 650,000 and the cumulative views of their videos have reached 88 million.
Attention is being drawn to when they’ll make their debut as they’ve been revealing themselves to the public, starting with the launching announcement clip on January 1st. Since YG has been putting a lot of effort into their debut, it’s expected that they’ll change the global music scene beyond the K-Pop industry.
