BLACKPINK’s ‘Shut Down’ Tops Spotify’s Global Chart for 2 Consecutive Days
[연합뉴스=안정훈 기자] The title-song for girl group BLACKPINK’s 2nd full album ‘BORN PINK’, ‘Shut Down’, took the no.1 spot on world’s biggest streaming platform Spotify’s ‘Daily Top Song Chart’ for two consecutive days.
According to YG Entertainment on the 19th, BLACKPINK’s ‘Shut Down’ as streamed 6.26 million times on the 15th alone.
‘Pink Venom’ had previously maintained the top spot on the ‘Daily Top Song Chart’ for 3 consecutive days.
Not only the title-song, but track songs such as ‘Pink Venom’, ‘Typa Girl’, ‘Hard to Love’, and ‘Yeah Yeah Yeah’ were also listed on the top 40 list.
For the first time as a K-POP girl group, BLACKPINK sold 1.10 million copies on the first day of it’s release of ‘BORN PINK’. They will kick off their world-tour in Seoul Olympic Park KSPO Dome on the 15th∼16th of October and meet with approximately 150,000 fans around North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
