TREAUSURE “Entering KSPO DOME is a Dream We Achieved Together with Fans”

[OSEN=선미경 기자] With group TREASURE’s 2nd solo concert just two days away, global fans’ expectations are running high as they introduced tips they recommend in order to enjoy the performance even more, and as they notified of an ultimate concert to the public.

TREASURE will be holding their ‘2022 TREASURE TOUR [HELLO] in SEOUL’ on the 12th and 13th of November at KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park. Since it’s their first concert after releasing their 2nd mini-album, they prepared various stages with a set list that contains their new songs. Well renowned dancers and a live band have also joined hands with TREASURE, in order to provide an even more high-quality performance.

TREASURE, who is currently in their last preparations to meet with fans, said, “We’re preparing our stages with the determination of giving out all our energy and passion, so be prepared to have fun”.
The following are answers to the questions TREASURE received.

Q. You entered KSPO DOME, known as the holy ground for K-POP. It must feel very different to you guys, how do you feel now that the concert is just around the corner?

CHOI HYUN SUK: We’ll be performing at our dream stage, the KSPO DOME, in just 2 years since our debut. We feel very honored because we understand what kind of meaning it holds to singers. It’s even more meaningful because TREASURE members and fans accomplished this dream together. We want to gift our fans with an unforgettable memory.

Q. What was the preparation process like?

CHOI HYUN SUK: We wanted to improve some of the aspects we wished we did better at our previous concert and perform stages we couldn’t show previously. Ever since then, we performed at various stages, which gave us a bit more know-how on how to perform. The chemistry between members is also on point as well. Individual capabilities and determination is very important, but team-work is also a very important element for us. Members worked really well together, so we practiced with enthusiasm.

JUNKYU: Our concert preparation period overlapped with our 2nd mini-album activities, so our passion grew even more. Since we all expressed our own ideas and gave out our hearts to it, the chemistry between us was just perfect. There were some tough moments too, but as soon as I thought about being able to present our stages to our fans, I became energized right away.

Q. A band session will be joining you guys this time around too.

YOSHI: We used to talk about wanting to perform with a band with members since we were trainees, and I’m so happy we could realize this dream for our 2nd concert. It’s a band session that’s been working with us since our album, so they know our strengths, and we have great chemistry.
ASAHI: I believe we can give a lot of changes to the sound with the band session joining us. The damping is much better than the CD sound, and it’s much more fun to sing our songs live with the band, as it gives more life to the vibe of the song.

Q. From coming back with your 2nd mini album to preparing for your concert…Where do you find your energy amid all these crazy schedules?

DOYOUNG: It’s without a doubt, meeting with TREASURE MAKERS. We’ve been communicating with them both online and offline for our 2nd mini album promotion schedules. We receive a lot of energy by listening to their cheering at music shows, and by interacting them through content of various scale.

PARK JEONG WOO: Our 2nd mini-album was the first time we actually got to carry out our activities with fans. We could really cheer up thanks to fans’ support and interest, despite our schedule being so tight. Every now and then, we would chat with each other and play games to have some relaxation time. We really encourage each other as members, and that itself is a great source of energy for me.

Q. In which aspect did you feel like you grew compared to the previous concert, and what kind of new charms do you plan on presenting through this concert?

JIHOON: Doing well is important, but we learned that it’s more important to have fun on stage. I think having that mindset itself is proof to how much we grew. We now learn the choreography more quickly, and now that we’ve had that previous concert experience, we can draw up the stage in our minds, so we could practice while simulating how it will be like on the concert stage. I think we could have more fun this time around.

HARUTO: You can look forward to the rapper line’s unit stage. The M/V for ‘VolKno’ was released today, and I think it was proof that people could feel different charms by watching the video compared to just listening to the song. As such, I think the audiences will see a different side of all us 10 members, including our original songs, new songs, and through unit-stages too.

Q. Is there an element fans can particularly look forward to, or something you worked hard in particular? Even a tip in watching the stages or a surprise spoiler will be good.

CHOI HYUN SUK: We really worked hard on the track list composition. Original songs we couldn’t present at our previous concert, new songs listed in our new album, and cover songs by senior singers that inspired us…There are so many special stages that will go beyond people’s expectations.

JIHOON: The performance venue itself is ‘TREASURE’. Even our company worked really hard in terms of stage direction quality, so that our concert can satisfy both the eyes and ears of the audiences. We also worked really hard on shooting the VCR clips. I think it will be fun to watch our spectacular clips. To give TREASURE MAKERS a tip in enjoying the concert even more, it’s a must to update your light sticks. You’ll feel like you’ve become one with the stage.

Q. If you were to express this concert in one word?

CHOI HYUN SUK: Festival. From best of the best stage staff members to a band session and a dance team, my heart exploded with excitement from the moment this concert was organized as it was being put together in the largest scale. I honestly believe it’s a festival for us TREASURE and TREASURE MAKERS. We’ll make sure to make it into a festival that anyone can enjoy and wishes to come back again in future.

HARUTO: I say it’s the growth of TREASURE. I think it’s a performance that will show our second step, taking another leap as an artist. We really want to touch the hearts of people and give them a fresh shock through our 2-hour performance. We’ll make sure the audiences can enjoy every single moment with our performances.

Q. Is there anything you want to say to TREASURE MAKERS who will be waiting for the concert in earnest?

YOON JAE HYUK: It’s all thanks to TREASURE MAKERS that we can open up our 2nd concert in just 7 months. We received an award at the KSPO DOME during ‘The Fact Awards’, and we now got to hold a performance where TREASURE MAKERS and us TREASURE can enjoy at our dream stage. As a singer, I believe the best present we can gift fans is putting on a great performance. We prepared the concert by giving our all, in terms of energy and passion, so make sure to come prepared to have a great time.

SO JUNG HWAN: Since fans can scream and sing along our songs together for this concert, we’re all ready to give it our all so that fans can have an even great time. We really hope fans can take away home lots of happiness through this concert, and shake off all the stress and hardness they endured during the year.
