‘Comeback’ TREASURE to Launch Self-Produced Reality Show Season 2, ‘Premieres on the 22nd’
[뉴스엔=황혜진 기자] Following their full-scale music broadcast activities, group TREASURE will return with their self-produced reality content, ‘TREASURE MAP Season 2’.
On January 15, YG Entertainment uploaded the teaser clip for ‘TREASURE MAP Season 2’ through their official blog, noticing an upcoming show with upgraded immersion.
Despite being a short 50-second clip, the fierce chase and physiological games played by the 12 members raised the viewers’ curiosities.
Also, the ‘TREASURE MAP Season 2’ featured more than 100 cameras, which is an ‘unbelievably big scale’ for a rookie group who has made debut only 6 months ago.
It shows YG’s full-hearted support and investment for the connection between TREASURE and the fans. YG has previously promised, “We plan to relaunch the reality content ‘TREASURE MAP’ which was on halt due to the preparation of new songs, with the release of the first official album”.
Furthermore, TREASURE’s full-scale music broadcast schedule began, making the global fans cheer.
TREASURE has appeared on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on the 14th, in 4 years and 2 months as an artist of YG. On the stage which gathered a lot of attention, TREASURE performed the title track ‘MY TREASURE’ and ‘GOING CRAZY’ from their official debut album, announcing their successful comeback.
While wearing black suits, TREASURE presented a perfect ‘group dance’ on ‘GOING CRAZY’, grabbing the people’s attention. TREASURE then transformed into colorful outfits and fresh visuals, exciting the global fans with their lively performance of ‘MY TREASURE’, the song with warm consolations and hopeful messages.
TREASURE also added lovely charms to their performance with point moves including the ‘smile dance’, where they picked both of their cheeks and smiled as they sang, ‘You’re prettier when you smile’. They also filled the stage with their unique positive vibes through beautiful vocals and various gestures, making the people look forward to their upcoming performances.
‘MY TREASURE’, the title track from TREASURE’s official debut album, has topped real-time charts of major Japanese music platforms after its release on the 11th and is maintaining its position in the top ranks.
The physical album is also popular. The album, which topped iTunes Album charts in 18 different countries, was ranked at no. 1 on the Albums Top 100 chart of Line Music, which is Japan’s biggest music platform, for 3 consecutive days in addition to the Hanteo Charts. With their success, the group’s ‘THE FIRST STEP’ series is about to reach a total of 1M in sales.
TREASURE will appear on MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ on the 16th and on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 17th.
