LISA’S ‘LALISA’ M/V Reaches 200 million Views in 13 Days, Breaking Another Record

According to YG Entertainment on the 24th, the music video for LISA’s ‘LALISA’ reached more than 200 million views on YouTube as of 3:41 a.m. today.
This is a record reached about 13 days and 14 hours later it was released on the 10th. This is the shortest amount of time for a K-POP female solo arist M/V to reach such number of views.
The previous record holder was JENNIE’s ‘SOLO’ which took 90 days. This was followed up by ROSÉ’S ‘On The Ground’ which reached the 200 million views in 123 days. With LISA’s new record, BLACKPINK members have now ranked first, second, and third as a K-POP female solo arist in this category.
This just shows how BLACKPINK’s popularity is soaring and how influential they are in the global music market, with their solo projects continuing on one by pone.
In fact, whether it’s team activities or solo activities, BLACKPINK is breaking most of the records they have set in terms of ‘firsts’ and ‘mosts’, including topping various music charts everytime they release new songs.
The music video for LISA’s solo album title song ‘LALISA’ also reached 100 million views in just two days after it was released on the 10th, breaking the record of reaching the feat in the shortest amount of time as a K-POP solo artist.
‘LALISA’ topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in a total of 72 countries along with taking first place on YouTube’s Song Top 100 Chart. She then took 15th on Spotify’s Global Charts.
Not only this but she ranked 2nd on U.S. Billboard Global 200, 84th on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, and entered UK’s Official Chart Single Top 100 as 68th, showing her presence in the mainstream pop market.
Meanwhile BLACKPINK who has a total of 30 videos that surpass hundreds of millions of views is walking an unrivaled path as an artist with all of their title song music videos surpassing 200 million views so far.
BLACKPINK also has the most number of YouTube subscribers among artists from all around the world with more than 67.1 million subscribers. The figure is soaring even more with LISA’s debut as a solo artist.
