LISA’S ‘LALISA’ M/V Reached 300 million Views “Shortest Record”
[더팩트=김샛별 기자] The M/V for BLACKPINK LISA’s first solo album title ‘LALISA’ reached 300 million views on YouTube in 48 days since release.
YG Entertainment said on the 27th that “Lisa’s ‘LALISA’ M/V reached 300 million views on YouTube as of 3:46 p.m. on the 27th”, and that “This feat was reached in about 48 days after it was released on September 10th. This is also the new shortest record among K-POP female artists that reached the same figure”.
The previous record holder was group member JENNIE with her solo song ‘SOLO’ (183 days). LISA reached this feat 136 days earlier than her record. The fact that the only two K-POP female solo artists that reached the feat is JENNIE and LISA, and how ROSÉ’s solo ‘On The Ground’ is about to reach the record too shows how much influence the girls have.
The M/V for ‘LALISA’ showed the fourth steepest increase in views even when comparing it with BLACKPINK’s entire records. The M/V reached 300 million views in the 4th shortest time following ‘How You Like That (21 days)’, ’Kill This Love (32 days)’, Ice Cream (34 days)’. This record is about 20 days ahead of ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ which reached the most number of views among K-POP music videos with 1.7 billion views.
Regardless of group or solo activities, BLACKPINK is taking over major charts whenever they release new songs, and is also breaking their own records. Since LISA’s solo debut, the number of subscribers for BLACKPINK’s official YouTube account increased by nearly 3.9 million to reach 68.7 million subscribers. This is the highest record among artist from all over the world..
Meanwhile ‘MONEY’ which is a track song listed on LISA’s solo album has ranked on 54th on UK’s Official Chart Single Top 100, and 5th on the world’s largest music streaming platform Spotify’s Global Top 200 showing great potential even though it was released a month ago.
