iKON X TREASURE Unveils ‘JIKJIN’ Cover Reaction Video…Strong YG Familyship
[OSEN=지민경 기자] YG rookie group TREASURE hinted on covering iKON’s new song, making global fans’ heart beat fast.
YG Entertainment on the 31st put up a reaction video of TREASURE members reacting to iKON’s cover video of ‘JIKJIN’ on their official YouTube channel.
iKON was praised by global fans as they put up a cover video of TREASURE’s JIKJIN around two weeks ago. Their version not only covered the dance, but they reinterpreted the performance by re-recording the song and coming up with their own rap-making.
TREASURE also show similar reactions to global fans who saw the video. They were amazed by iKON’s version of the choreography, their attractive tones, and BOBBY’s rap part.
TREASURE members in particular were amazed at JU-NE’s wild vocals. TREASURE members said “His voice suits JIKJIN so much”.
They were lost for words during BOBBY’s rap part. YOSHI nad PARK JEONG WOO were dancing along the rhythm, and JIHOON and HARUTO eventually expressed how they felt by saying “Wow, he killed it” “Another class”, and “They’re so good”.
TREASURE members swayed along the rhythm with iKON’s another level hip-hop swag. They expressed how much they respected them, given that they wouldn’t have had that much time to practice, but still showed perfect synchronization.
TREASURE members said “They would’ve been so busy, thanks so much for covering our song. It’s our turn next time, we want to try covering your song when you guys have your comeback.”
The video showed how much bond iKON and TREASURE shared as YG artists. In fact, iKON had created the video to show support for TREASURE’s new song and their future success.
iKON said in the reaction video “We hope you guys have a close look at TREASURE members. We wish them a great activity”, showing how much they supported their junior group.
In particular, regarding the joint performance with TREASURE members at the end, they said “The energy was great, it looked cool because it had that YG Family vibe”, showing how satisfied they were with the video.
Meanwhile, iKON had created various hit songs since their debut in 2015 such as ‘KILLING ME’, ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, ‘MY TYPE’, ‘APOLOGY’, ‘RHYTHM TA’ and ‘Why Why Why’, and has been maintaining their popularity as one of the leaders of the K-POP industry.
TREASURE will be holding their very first concert ‘TRACE’ on the 9th and 10th of April at Seoul Olympic Hall located in Olympic Park. They then plan on holding follow-up activities for their album with their track song ‘DARARI’.
