iKON Covers TREASURE’s ‘JIKJIN’…TREASURE Expresses Endless Gratitude
[엑스포츠뉴스=김유진 기자] Group iKON unveiled their cover video for TREASURE’S ‘JIKJIN’.
Attention is being drawn to the cover clip as iKON re-recorded JIKJIN with their own voices and shows a different performance to the original song.
In particular, the ‘drift dance’ and ‘step performance’ which is the point choreography of ‘JIKJIN’ was re-born in iKON’s own particular way. They showed a different energy to TREASURE’s ‘JIKJIN’ with their confidence and powerful movements.
BOBBY also presented his own rap during the song. His witty lyrics such as ‘I black out whenever I see you (cutcut)’, ‘I can even bleed for you (outout)’ and his distinctive hip-hop swag put fans at awe.
TREASURE members joined iKON towards the end of the performance and showed how strong their bond is as YG artists.
iKON’s cover dance clip was born out of support for YG’s youngest group TREASURE’s successful ‘JIKJIN’. YG said “TREASURE expressed endless gratitude towards iKON as they’ve been looking up to them even before debut.”
Meanwhile, iKON made their debut in 2015 and has been creating mega hit songs such as ‘KILLING ME’, ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, ‘MY TYPE’, ‘APLOGY’, ‘RHYTHM TA’, and ‘Why Why Why’.
TREASURE recently released their mini-album ‘THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ and has been actively conducting their promotional activities. They so far sold more than 700,000 copies and took the first spot on iTune’s Worldwide Chart. Their title-song ‘JIKJIN’ has swept major Japanese music sites such as Line Music, Apple Music, iTunes, AWA, Rakuten Music, and mu-mo. It also successfully entered U.S’ Billboard Global 200 Chart.
