D-1 to YOON’s Solo Comeback, Expectations Rise Over ‘BORN TO LOVE YOU’
[OSEN=지민경 기자] Expectations are running high among music fans as YOON’s new solo song ‘BORN TO LOVE YOU’ is set to be released in just a day.
YOON who had previously established his presence as a singer-song writer and producer through his first full-album [PAGE], plans to show his expanded musical world with his matured vocal and emotional expressions. YOON’s characteristics as a ‘vocalist’ is expected to be stressed, in contrast to WINNER’s numerous hit songs.
According to YG Entertainment, ‘BORN TO LOVE YOU’, is a song which draws on the emotion of going through a breakup after having to let go of a loved one. Simple sounds and YOON’s husky yet mellow voice creates a perfect harmony. This is actually a new challenge for YOON as it is difficult to his original rock based folk style sounds.
Parts of the song and lyrics which was released through teasing content have already aroused sympathy from fans both home and abroad. The combination of ‘LOVE’ and ‘HATE’ touched the hearts of listeners as it played on top of mellow piano sounds.
Attention is also being drawn to the strong bond between YG artists. TREASURE’s BANG YE DAM took part in the composition and lyrics process of ‘BORN TO LOVE YOU’. As TREASURE’s ‘DARARI’, which was composed and written by BANG YE DAM is gaining massive popularity, even more attention is being drawn to the song.
YOON also took on some visual changes too. He gave off a sexy vibe with his shocking white hair. He said “Unlike the full album where I told my own story, I became an actor and sang. Please look forward to it as I’ll show you a different side that exists within me”.
YOON’s new song ‘BORN TO LOVE YOU’ will be released at 6PM on the 14th of March. He plans to meet with fans through a ‘COUNTDOWN LIVE’ session on YouTube on Winner’s official channel, an hour before the release of his new song.
