D-1 to iKON’s Comeback, Shows Impressive Retro Fantasy Concept Styling
[한국경제TV=유병철 기자] With iKON making a comeback in just a day, global fans’ expectations are running high about what kind of music and performances they’ll present.
YG Entertainment released the poster of iKON’s 4th mini-album ‘[FLASHBACK] D-1’ on their official blog on the 2nd. The poster showed 6 members standing on a club stage with extravagant lighting at the background.
In the poster, iKON members pulled off trendy yet retro styles with spangle shirts, painting jeans, and bold accessories.
The mysterious aura the boys were showing with the neon green lights as the background stimulated the romantic fantasy of fans, and made them curious about the story of their album title-song ‘BUT YOU’.
YG said “iKON’s title-song ‘BUT YOU’ is a synthwave genre which reinterpreted pop music from the 80s with a modern sound. The lyrics are very impressive as it honestly talks about the feelings of not being able to get over a breakup, and forget about their ex-partner”.
All 6 songs listed on iKON’s 4th mini-album [FLASHBACK] will be released at 6PM on the 3rd of May. Members plan on meeting with fans first through a ‘COUNTDOWN LIVE’ session which will be broadcast live on iKON’s YouTube channel an hour earlier than the release.
