BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ Secures No. 1 Position for 17 Days, ‘The Syndrome Continues’… Aims for 6th Music Broadcast Trophy

[OSEN=심언경 기자] Group BLACKPINK is continuing their hit parade by securing no. 1 positions on various music charts and music broadcasts.

The pre-release single ‘How You Like That’ from BLACKPINK’s upcoming first official album, released last month on the 26th, is maintaining its top position on Melon, the biggest music platform in Korea, as of July 12 at 12 PM.

The popularity of ‘How You Like That’ can also be checked through global charts. The song topped iTunes Song charts in 64 different countries including the US, was ranked at no. 33 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and no. 20 on UK’s Official Singles Chart, renewing the best record in K-Pop girl group history.

The song also won 3 crowns on QQ Charts, the biggest music platform in China, as well as being ranked at no. 1 on Line Music, which is Japan’s biggest music streaming platform.

BLACKPINK is also achieving great success on music broadcasts. Starting with MBC Every1 ‘Show Champion’, they won a total of 5 trophies on SBS ‘Inkigayo’, Mnet ‘M Countdown’, KBS 2TV ‘Music Bank’, and MBC ‘Show! Music Core’.

Later, BLACKPINK’s music broadcast performance was ranked at no. 1 on YouTube’s Global Trending, Twitter’s Real-time Worldwide Trending, and even on the Real-Time Trending of Weibo, which is China’s biggest internet community, which prove BLACKPINK’s global presence.

BLACKPINK has dominated the stage through their powerful performance and glamorous visuals. On MBC ‘Show! Music Core’, where they won their 5th trophy, BLACKPINK shared their gratitude by stating, “We won first place. It’s a prize for BLINK. Thanks to BLINK, we can be loved continuously after making comeback in such a long time. We’ll continue to do our best”.

After successfully winning their 5th trophy, BLACKPINK will go for their 6th music broadcast today(12th) on SBS ‘Inkigayo’.
