2NE1 took No.1 on American Billboard’s “World Digital Song Sales” chart
[엑스포츠뉴스=전아람 기자] Girl group 2NE1’s farewell single “Goodbye” has taken No.1 on Billboard’s “World Digital Song Sales” chart.
2NE1’s last song “Goodbye” took No.1 on American Billboard’s “World Digital Song Sales” chart, upon entering it on January 31 at 10PM (KST).
“Goodbye” for which CL directly took part in writing the lyrics expresses the emotions of calmly accepting parting.
Upon the release of “Goodbye”, it proved global music fans’ keen interest in 2NE1, taking No.1 on the iTunes chart of eight countries: Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Philippines, without any TV performance or promotion.
2NE1 burst onto the music scene upon their debut in 2009, recording great hits with every song they release, including “Fire”, I Don’t Care”, “I’m the Best”, etc.
2NE1 was the first Korean girl group who has hosted two world tours. 2NE1’s “CRUSH” album released in 2014 recorded remarkable global hit taking the 61st place on American “Billboard 200”, to make the team evolve into a world star.
