[Midnight TV] AKMU in “My Refrigerator” show… The real brother and sister!
[마이데일리=이승길 기자] The chemistry between the real brother and sister of group AKMU made everyone burst into laughter.
In the new year’s special episode of JTBC’s “Take Care of My Refrigerator” show aired in the night on January 30, chefs engaged in a competition of cooking for 15 minutes with ingredients from AKMU’s refrigerator.
Just as AKMU has always shown the realistic relationship between a real brother and sister every time they appeared in entertainment TV shows, the two displayed the realistic chemistry in “Take Care of My Refrigerator” show again, showing a friendly relationship and then quarrelling with each other. First, the duo talked about how much they liked signer Kim Yoona who appeared in the show with AKMU, saying, “We really like Kim Yoona. There is a song we wrote, inspired by Kim Yoona’s voice.” Then, AKMU sang the song “You Know Me” in a live performance. Kim Yoona answered, “I really thank you. I think LEE CHAN HYUK looks like G-DRAGON more and more.”
LEE CHAN HYUK shyly answered, “I have heard a lot that I look like producer Kim Haeho and it is the first time someone says I look like G-DRAGON.” His younger sister LEE SU HYUN shook her head and said, “No way”, to make everyone burst into laughter.
AKMU also frankly said, “All our income is managed by our parents. They give us allowances.” MC Kim Sung-joo asked, “Are the allowances fairly distributed between you two?” and LEE SU HYUN answered, “My brother receives twice more money than me and I think that is because all the copy right is held by him.”
The duo also confessed about YG’s policy about each of their romantic relationships. Kim Sung-joo asked, “Is there any YG policy that bans you from having relationships?” and LEE CHAN HYUK said, “YG is not that much interested in me. When I asked if it was okay for me to have a girlfriend while eating with Mr. YANG HYUN SUK, he answered, ‘You can’. But SU HYUN is now allowed to have a boyfriend.”
Then, LEE CHAN HYUK went on to say, “I think Mr. YANG let us because that will help me writing songs. That is why I actually have ample experiences and those are reflected in AKMU’s new songs.” LEE SU HYUN burst into laughter by CHAN HYUK’s bragging and said, “In the demo-tape of the new song, CHAN HYUK sang while crying.”
Still, the duo was dear brother and sister to each other. The MCs mischievously said, “We heard that CHAN HYUK will soon join the army for your mandatory military service and SU HYUN is excited about it. We also heard that you have another YG artist you would like to have as your new partner.” LEE SU HYUN firmly answered, “There will be no change in my partner. AKMU will be always my brother and me.”
