[엑스포츠뉴스=김유진 기자] Group iKON revealed the teaser for ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ by B.I and JU-NE, following the teaser by JAY and DK.
On September 24 at 4 PM, YG Entertainment revealed the narration teaser clip for the title song ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ from iKON’s new mini album ‘NEW KIDS : THE FINAL’ from their official blog.
As they revealed the lyrics for ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ like it’s a scene from a movie, the clip included narrations by B.I and JU-NE.
While B.I was walking through the waterfront he calmly stated, “How lonely and spiritless would it be to live in past memories”, while JU-NE stated, “We became strangers so easily again. I didn’t love you to break-up with you” in a calm voice, passing on the lyrics of ‘GOODBYE ROAD’.
‘GOODBYE ROAD’ is a song about a break-up that’s inevitable for a couple after their flower road times. The harmony between an orchestra session and a acoustic guitar perfectly express the sad vibes of autumn, while exaggerating the beat of the song which contrasts with string instruments.
The song was written by B.I and BOBBY while B.I, FUTURE BOUNCE, and Bekuh BOOM produced the track.
‘GOODBYE ROAD’ is the song that competed with the title with ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, which swept Korean music charts in early 2018. The song waited for a year to be released since it perfectly fits the vibes of the summer.
Through ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ that contains the autumn mood, iKON will pass on the lonely emotions of farewell.
B.I who wrote and composed ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ stated, “The lyrics are sentimental and has different vibes with previous titles. We just wanted to present what iKON does best”. He added, “We thought of the title ‘GOODBYE ROAD’ as we were thinking of something different from he title ‘FLOWER ROAD’”.
JU-NE who was in charge of the narration with B.I e plaines, “‘GOODBYE ROAD’ is the most mournful track we ever released in our career”.
On iKON’s upcoming mini album to be released on October 1,a total of 4 tracks written and composed by B.I including ‘GOODBYE’, ‘DON’T LET ME KNOW’, ‘ADORE YOU’, and ‘PERFECT’ will be contained.
Along with preparing for their new album, iKON is on a busy schedule while holding a Japan tour and an Asia tour at the same time. The group held the ‘iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR’ on the 22nd in Taipei and met local fans.
