[Exclusive] YG WINNER’s KIM JINWOO performs in KNCDC’s dance drama “The Little Prince”… For the first time as an idol singer

[한국경제=선한결 기자] Kim JINWOO of YG Entertainment’s idol group WINNER is appearing in Korea National Contemporary Dance Company (KNCDC)’s dance performance “The Little Prince”, as the little prince. 

It is the first-ever case for an idol singer to perform in KNCDC’ dance drama. 

According to an insider of the performance on November 17, WINNER’s member KIM JINWOO confirmed on his performance in “The Little Prince” to be hosted on the 9th to 11th next month at CJ Towol Theater of Seoul Arts Center located in Seocho-dong, Seoul, and has been practicing with other dancers. It is known that KIM was cast for the performance, for his image which suits that of the little prince, as well as his passion for dance. 

KIM JINWOO made debut as boy group WINNER in 2014. Last year, he also began acting career by appearing in “Magical Mobile Phone”, a drama series jointly produced by Korea and China. Recently, WINNER announced on suspension of the team’s performances, because of the health issue of its member NAM TAEHYUN. According to insiders, the other members are now doing their individual work and also wiring songs. KANG SEUNGYOON appears in SBS TV show “꽃놀이패” and SONG MINHO released his solo album in September. 

“The Little Prince” is KNCDC’s Christmas season repertory which was performed for the first time last year. The story of famous novella “The Little Prince” is expressed in contemporary dance in dance performance “The Little Prince”. It is a performance for families, which tells the story easily with digital visual effect, impressive music, and unique props. 

The tickets will be sold on the website of the Seoul Arts Center (www.sacticket.co.kr), as well as on Interpark and Auction ticket. The first-round ticket sale will open for the members of Seoul Arts Center on the center’s website at 4PM on the 17. At 2PM on the 18, ticket sale will open on other websites.
