BOBBY Reveals his Hidden Charms in “Show Me the Money 3”
[TV리포트=김가영 기자] BOBBY, the ace of “Show Me the Money 3”, revealed his hidden charms. Rapper BOBBY is surely a great performer on stage capable of putting on a powerful performance, full of confidence. You`d be surprised to learn that he is a greater person when you get to know him better.
In the “Show Me the Money 3” program aired on September 28, the results of the second contest between Olltii and BOBBY was announced. The Tablo & Masta Wu producers team and the Dok2 & The Quiett producers team each had a performer left and the results would determine which team will drop out. The victory went to BOBBY.
The Dok2 & The Quiett team, who were on the verge of becoming eliminated because they had no performers, will stay on the competition. Their rival Olltii praised BOBBY saying, “It was a clean victory. He deserves the money he has won.” After winning, BOBBY expressed his bittersweet feeling by saying, “I`m not all smiles. I looked around after Tablo and Masta Wu had left and there was no one but me. I felt lonely.”
C Jamm, who had won the first contest, decided who will be up against whom in the semi-finals. C Jamm said, “I don`t want to admit it but BOBBY is a strong contender” and made him compete against Vasco. San E and Swings praised BOBBY by saying, “He has strength and he can also act. He is a born performer.” Vasco noted, “BOBBY is only a rookie but no one could deny that he is good. Performance-wise, one has a lot to learn from him. He has talent for sure.”
Before the semi-finals, producers Dok2 and The Quiett said to BOBBY, “We should make the performance inspirational. Let`s send out the message that you left the States to succeed and you won`t leave until you achieve your goals.” Then the footage of BOBBY when he was a young boy filled the screen. He was saying, “My family is not wealthy. My parents both have to work. I want to help out my family by becoming a star.” The footage of him crying during a video call with his mom followed.
BOBBY hasn`t seen his family for four years but he showed his love for them by saying, “I go on social networking sites to see my brother’s picture and this just makes me smile. I miss him every day.” Whenever he misses his parents, he visits his aunt, who runs a restaurant in Korea. BOBBY becomes a cute nephew and a grandson to his grandmother and aunt, very different to his persona as the fierce performer. After finishing the meal, BOBBY helps with the serving and dishes. He said, “The fastest way to meet my parents is my winning the competition. I really want to bring my parents to Korea.”
BOBBY went on the stage with the newly arranged version of YGGR from Illionaire Records and Hip Hop from Dok2 and Double K`s first album. His piercing lyrics had strength and it made him shine on the stage. He won against Vasco and confirmed his entry to the final round.
BOBBY is not a typical idol. He brings different colors on and off the stage. Although he appears to be tough and fearless rapping away on the stage, he is a just sweet boy who has so much affection for his family off the stage. The more you know him, the harder you will fall for him. Cannot wait to see what BOBBY has for us on the final stage.
