[TV리포트=김가영 기자] BOBBY’s frank interview is attracting public attention.

On the 29th, Mnet`s “Show Me the Money 3” released an interview of BOBBY, who advanced to the final round. On the day before, BOBBY won over the other strong contender Vasco and made it to the final of the “Show Me the Money 3”.

Just before advancing to the semi-finals, BOBBY talked about how he felt in an interview with the staff. He said, “I’m just dazed. I can`t believe I’ve made it to the top 4. When I first started this, my goal was to get through the preliminaries. I never thought I would be able to be on the stage for the finals and before I knew it I was in the semi-finals. It was something I wasn`t expecting, so at times I feel this is too much for me. It just feels unreal to be up against Vasco whom I have been admiring since I was a child. I`m just thrilled and dazed.”

When asked about his performance for the semi-finals, he gave a witty answer by saying, “I thought a lot about the theme, money. Money to me is lyrics. Some spend money night after night but I write lyrics. In this sense, money is lyrics to me and I am the Mansour of hip-hop.” He went on to say, “The stage is also special because it is the first time I am performing with a band.”

Before going up to the stage for the semi-finals, BOBBY thanked the producers, the Dok2 – The Quiett team. He said, “Dok2 and The Quiett always ask for my opinions first and really listen. We never disagreed. My opinions come first when preparing for the stage and the producers are just here to help.” He added, “I don`t have much stage experience, and they give me advice so that I can put on a great performance. Whenever I listen to the songs I performed so far, I remember all the moments that I had here. But my happiest moments are when I see the producers backstage after my performance, there waiting for me. These are the moments when I feel that we are a team.”

1) So you made it to the semi-finals. How do you feel? Were you expecting this?

BOBBY : I’m just dazed. I`m just thrilled and dazed

2) Did you enjoy working with the producers for this stage? How did they help you and what do you remember the most about working with them?

BOBBY : Dok2 and The Quiett always ask for my opinions first and really listen. We never disagreed. My opinions come first when preparing for the stage and the producers are just here to help. I don`t have much stage experience, and they give me advice so that I can put on a great performance. For example, they advise me on how to set the stage and tell me what people like. Whenever I listen to the songs I performed so far, I remember all the moments that I had here. But my happiest moments are when I see the producers backstage after my performance, there waiting for me. These are the moments when I feel that we are a team.”

3) Who do you think is most likely to win out of the four semi-finalists? And who is your biggest rival?

BOBBY : I thinks the winner will be either me or Vasco.

4) Who didn`t deserve to be dropped out and why?

BOBBY : New Champ. I heard New Champ is such an energetic rapper on the stage. The way you are on the stage and the way you are during deliberation in front of the judges are bound to be different and I am curious what kind of a performer he would have been if he had made it to the stage.

5) Can you feel that you have become so popular after appearing in “Show Me the Money 3”? What has changed the most?

BOBBY : Nothing has changed. I still practice in the practice room. I don`t really feel that I have become popular. If I go out to Hong-dae and people start to recognize me, then I will know that I am popular. My mother told me I did well after watching the show. But she also told me not to swear.

6) You gave a number of performances since the first audition and which one is the most special to you?

BOBBY : The second performance with Dok2 and The Quiett is the most special stage for me. It was the performance of my dreams to be with the two leaders of Illinaire Records. I still can`t believe I was on the stage with them. It was awesome.

7) What do you have for us in the semi-final performance? What did you work on the most and can you give us a hint as to what you have prepared?

BOBBY : Money to me is lyrics. Some spend money night after night but I write lyrics. In this sense, money is lyrics to me and I am the Mansour of hip-hop, yeah! The stage is also special because it is the first time I performing with a band.

8) What advice did the producers give you for the semi-final and the final stage?

BOBBY : They told me not to get to hung up on winning and just enjoy myself.

9) What does “Show Me the Money 3” mean to you? And is there any message you want to send to the viewers?

BOBBY : To me, “Show Me the Money 3” means opportunity. It was a great opportunity for me to do things that I’ve always wanted to do. Also as Dok2 and The Quiett said, I want to send a message on the stage before coming down and not care about winning. I think I`ll be happy with that. Also, I want to win the recognition of those who still don`t think I am good. I want to be recognized for my talent.
