BLACKPINK JISOO to Release Solo Album on the 31st
[JTBC=박상후 기자] BLACKPINK JISOO confirmed the date of the release of her first solo album.
On the 6th, her agency YG Entertainment put up a COMING SOON POSTER for JISOO’s solo debut.
Red fabric was put on top of a grassy area, showing a clear contrast between the green and blue background and the vivid red. The poster image stimulated curiosity among fans as to what kind of message JISOO will portray through her solo debut, not to mention the album concept.
Although details of the album apart from the release date hasn’t been released just yet, the image itself was enough to raise expectations. JISOO has built extensive trust among global fans as an all-rounder artist with her vocal skills completed with her unique voice and stage presence.
YG Entertainment had previously said they’ve invested the highest production cost among BLACKPINK videos for the M/V shoot. The whole M/V was shot overseas raising expectations on the videography that portrays JISOO’s musical world.
YG Entertainment has been carrying out BLACKPINK’s solo projects one by one since 2018. As solo artists, BLACKPINK members JENNIE, LISA, and ROSÉ had made meaningful achievements by renewing all their records on global music charts. That’s why even more attention is being drawn to JISOO’s activities as a solo artist.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently on the biggest world tour titled ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]’ as a K-POP girl group, bringing together a total of 1.5 million audiences worldwide. They successfully carried out 14 performances in 7 North American cities and 10 performances in 7 European cities. They headed to Asia and are currently meeting with their Asian fans.
