YG “Biggest Production Cost Put into JISOO’s Solo Album M/V…Shot Completely Overseas”
[스포츠조선닷컴=김수현 기자] BLACKPINK member JISOO announced she’s currently filming the MV for her new solo song, catching the attention of global fans.
YG Entertainment said on the 21st, “We are currently filming the M/V for JISOO’s solo song behind closed doors overseas. This is the most we’ve invested out of all BLACKPINK clips, so please look forward to it.”
When considering how filming a M/V is one of the last stages artists go through with albums, her solo debut will likely happen soon. JISOO has been working on the project to keep her promise with her fans, and thanks to this, everything apparently was carried out smoothly. Despite her busy schedule with her world tour, according to YG, she kept re-recording to add more completeness to the album and poured a lot of effort into the project.
JISOO’s passion was fueled by YG’s unprecedented support. To intensify the characteristics of the song and JISOO’s transformation into a solo artist, they decided to shoot the whole M/V overseas. That is why global attention is being drawn to the creation of an all-time high-quality music video, even though the location or the concept has not been unveiled.
BLACKPINK has been renewing their own unprecedented records every time they released both group and solo albums. With JISOO’s debut as a solo artist approaching, global attention is being drawn to what kind of musical world she’ll unfold, as she’s been loved by her unrivaled visuals and unique voice.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently on the biggest world tour titled ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]’ as a K-POP girl group, bringing together a total of 1.5 million audiences worldwide. They successfully carried out 14 performances in 7 North American cities and 10 performances in 7 European cities. They headed to Asia and are currently meeting with their Asian fans. Also, in April, they’ll be taking the stage of ‘Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival’ and ‘Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival’ in July as head runners.
