YG BABYMONTER to Unveil its Final Member Selection Process on the 10th

YG announced on the 7th that a clip showing the process of selecting the final members of BABYMONSTER will be revealed for the first time at 12AM of the 10th.

Starting with the first episode, BABYMONSTER – ‘Last Evaluation’ will be released every Friday on BABYMONSTER’s official YouTube channel. Curiosity is running high on what kind of performances and evaluations will be made, as the 7 trainees already proved their potential and skills through introduction videos.

A teaser poster hinting at their content release was also unveiled. The poster portrayed the charms and personality of 7 trainees, and the black-and-white hip atmosphere forecast the birth of a next-generation girl group that is full of YG’s hip-hop identity.

BABYMONSTER – ‘Last Evaluation’ was planned with the purpose of revealing their potential to the public and asking for their objective evaluation. The program is expected to show their potential and charms in a more detailed way compared to the teasing content.  YG Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK said, “So far, we’ve revealed 7 trainees with the highest debut potential for BABYMONSTER, and we’ll select the final members through the last evaluation.

The public’s attention was proved through objective indicators. The number of subscribers of their official YouTube channel has surpassed 1.19 million and the number of cumulative content views has surpassed 180 million. The upward trend is continuing to grow. As the group has already formed a strong fandom, expectations are running high for the debut project to be in full operation.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is a girl-group YG is launching in 7 years since BLACKPINK, and is composed of 3 Korean members (AHYEON, HARAM, RORA), Two Thai members (PHARITA, CHIQUITA), and 2 Japanese members (RUKA, ASA). Most of the members are teenagers. As the trainees have been found to be all-rounders, it’s expected that they’ll change the global music scene in 2023, going beyond the K-POP industry.
