Trainees Revealed as Part of the BABYMONSTER Are Not the Final Members
[텐아시아=우빈 기자] To the surprise of the public, YG made a surprise announcement that the members of their rookie girl group BABYMONSTER has not been finalized.
On the 6th, YG Entertainment put up a clip titled BABYMONSTER – ‘Last Evaluation’ TEASER and notified how they’ll unveil the process leading up to their final evaluation for the selection.
In the clip, YG Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK said, “So far, we’ve revealed 7 trainees with the highest debut potential for BABYMONSTER, and we’ll select the final members through the last evaluation.”
So far, YG released clips showing the potential of 7 trainees RUKA, PHARITA, ASA, AHYEON, HARAM, RORA, and CHIQUITA. Through their last evaluation, YG will choose the final members out of the 7 trainees that already went through the competitive audition and many monthly evaluations. The number of the final members hasn’t been unveiled yet.
BABYMONSTER – ‘Last Evaluation’ was planned with the purpose of revealing their potential to the public and ask for their objective evaluation. The program is expected to show their potential and charms in a more detailed way compared to the teasing content.
The 7 members will carry out various missions under the strict judgment of professionals. Not only do they have to showcase their charms and potential as next-generation stars, but teamwork is also known to be an important element. Another view-point will be the involvement of YG artists including BLACKPINK, WINNER, and AKMU.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is a girl-group YG is launching in 7 years since BLACKPINK, and is composed of 3 Korean members (AHYEON, HARAM, RORA), Two Thai members (PHARITA, CHIQUITA) and 2 Japanese members (RUKA, ASA). Most of the members are teenagers.
