Global fans are particularly paying attention to YG, as YG will launch its big plan. Following BLACKPINK’s global activities, YG’s projects include TREASURE, who is currently making their presence clear in the global market, and BABYMONSTER who will soon make their debut.
TREASURE, who made their debut in August 2020, is actively carrying out global activities. YG launched the group 4 years after BLACKPINK, and is garnering great popularity in Asia such as Japan, not to mention how it already took over the global market. They’re making their presence clear by presenting their distinctive characteristics and skills through their music and performances.
TREASURE recently wrapped up their first 2-month Japanese Arena Tour since debut, and will enter Kyosera Dome in Osaka on the 28th and 29th of January. From March, they will be heading out for an Asia tour which will start in Taipei, followed by Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Singapore, and Macau.
TREASURE is being regarded as a team that showed exponential growth and development since debut, and one that makes people look forward to. They’re the trustworthy maknae line, drawing the future path for YG.
Along with TREASURE, a rookie girl-group BABYMONSTER stands in the center of YG’s new plan. It’s a girlgroup that is being launched in 7 years since BLACKPINK, and it consists of 7 members that received professional training for an average of 4 years. Most of them are known to be in their teens. BABYMONSTER notified of their debut in the New Year, and expectations are running high with the release of videos by HARAM and AHYEON.
Expectations are running particularly high for BABYMONSTER as YG family members including producer YANG HYUN SUK, BLACKPINK, and WINNER have praised them on their skills. The members that have been unveiled so far already proved to be all-rounders through their live performance videos. Attention is being paid globally with their launching teaser content surpassing 40 million views already.
In particular, TREASURE and BABYMONSTER will both be building up their presence under the guidance of producer YANG HYUN SUK. Yang recently returned as the executive producer and is known to be dedicating himself to BABYMONSTER’s launch. Since it’s their first girl group since launching BLACKPINK, they’re expected that they’ll live up to the expectations people have of the traditional YG girl-group.
They’re also garnering attention as junior groups of BLACKPINK, who established themselves as the world’s best girl group. It’s now time to sit back and observe the birth of an outstanding girl group, produced under producer YANG HAN SUK.
