BLACKPINK’s ‘Pink Venom’ MV Reaches 500 million Views in 134 Days
[헤럴드경제=고승희 기자] Group BLACKPINK’s ‘Pink Venom’ M/V reached 500 million views on YouTube 134 days after its release.
According to YG Entertainment on the 7th, BLACKPINK’s pre-release single for their 2nd full album Pink Venom surpassed 500 million views on YouTube as of 01:07 am the same day.
‘Pink Venom’ is a hip-hop genre song that gives even more life to BLACKPINK’s charisma, and slick rap and vocals on top of Korean traditional sounds and intense beats blend in perfectly together. The M/V surpassed 90.4 million views on YouTube within 24 hours of release and broke the world record among female artists. It reached 100 million views at the fastest pace among K-Pop girl groups with 29 hours and 35 minutes.
The song reached the top spot on the iTunes Chart in 81 countries and stayed in first place on U.S. Billboard Global 200 for two consecutive weeks, and three consecutive weeks on Billboard Global Chart. It reached 22nd on Billboard HOT 100 and UK’s Official Chart.
