[데일리안=유명준 기자] The dance practice video for BLACKPINK’s pre-release song from their 2nd full album ‘Pink Venom’ surpassed 100 million views on YouTube.
According to YG Entertainment on the 16th, the dance practice video for BLACKPINK’s ‘Pink Venom’ surpassed 100 million views on YouTube as of 9:09 AM that day. They added that this feat comes in about 52 days since it was released on August 25th, and that as a result, BLACKPINK now has 14 out of 37 videos that have reached more than hundreds of millions of views. YG then said “Recording explosive number of views for their dance practice videos is something BLACKPINK has been consistently showing, and it’s a living proof on how much love and interest global fans have for their overwhelming performances”.
They then added “Pink Venom” is a hip-hop genre song that highlights BLACKPINK’s unique charisma. The sound of Korea’s traditional musical instrument, combined with strong beats, is so catchy from the very beginning, and sleek rap and unrivaled vocals on top of it maximize the charm of all members. The music video for the song also received favorable reviews from music fans with its colorful objects and dynamic visual beauty. The clip surpassed 90.4 million views on YouTube within 24 hours of its release, breaking the world record as a female artist, and also achieved 100 million views at the fastest speed (29 hours and 35 minutes) among all K-pop girl groups”.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is set to meet with global fans in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania after kicking off their world tour in Seoul on the 15th and 16th.
