BLACKPINK Unveils ‘Pink Venom’ Performance Stage…YG’s Self-Produced Performance Broadcast
[뉴스엔=이민지 기자] The stage performance for BLACKPINK’s pre-release single ‘Pink Venom’ from their 2nd full album has been unveiled.
YG Entertainment shared the SPECIAL STAGE clip for ‘Pink Venom’ on their official blog and YouTube on the 27th of August.
The clip was full of BLACKPINK’s unrivaled charisma. Their dance moves were powerful yet detailed, and their facial expressions couldn’t help but make viewers concentrate to what they were doing.
BLACKPINK also showed off their stable live skills despite the powerful choreography. JISOO and ROSE’s vocals created perfect harmony with the intense beat, and JENNIE and LISA’s sharp rap skills on top of boom bap beat made listeners fall in love with the old-school hip-hop vibe they were presenting.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will also be taking the stage of ‘SBS Inkigayo’ which will be aired on the 28th.
YG Entertainment said, “It was almost impossible to take time for it, but BLACKPINK members said they really wanted to show the performance for fans who waited for them, even if it means sleeping less. The ‘Inkigayo’ stage was pre-recorded while the girls were shooting for their title-song M/V.”
Living up to their title of being the world’s best girl-group, BLACKPINK is sweeping various music charts including YouTube. After reaching 100 million views on YouTube at the fastest speed (29 hours and 35 minutes) among K-POP girl groups, the music video reached 200 million views in just seven and a half days. The song topped the iTunes’s song chart in 75 different countries including the United States.
Also, ‘Pink Venom’ ranked 2nd on Spotify’s Top Song Global Weekly Chart, the world’s largest music streaming platform, which is the best record made by a K-POP song. It then proved its popularity again in the mainstream pop market by entering the UK’s official single chart at 22nd.
