[마이데일리=곽명동 기자] BLACKPINK ROSÉ’s solo teaser clip has surpassed 40M views. It shows her unrivaled global power and influence.

According to YG Entertainment on February 17, the ROSÉ – COMING SOON TEASER clip has surpassed 40.7M views on YouTube. It has only been approximately 3 weeks since the clip was released last month on the 26th.

It is unprecedented to reach such views with a short teaser clip, which is far from an official MV. It shows the global fans’ anticipation towards ROSÉ’s upcoming solo single and BLACKPINK’s global presence as the most subscribed female artist in the world, with 57.3M YouTube channel subscribers.

The 33-second clip is known to be part of the MV for ‘GONE’, which is the sub-title track of her upcoming solo album. ROSÉ led enthusiastic responses with her unrivaled vocals and delicate acting, which expressed the emptiness and sadness inside one’s heart. The fans are currently debating on the meaning of the props and symbolic images revealed through the teaser clip.

Furthermore, ROSÉ has also raised the fans’ anticipation by performing ‘GONE’ for the first time through BLACKPINK’s livestream concert ‘THE SHOW’(YG PALM STAGE – 2021 BLACKPINK: THE SHOW), which was held on January 31. Her dreamlike and mournful voice created harmony with the guitar, making the audience hold their breaths while focusing on the performance.

BLACKPINK, the group ROSÉ is part of, has a total of 25 videos with over 100M views and 10 videos with over 500M views. The MV for ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ is about to surpass 1.5B views, while MVs for ‘Kill This Love’ and ‘BOOMBAYAH’ have reached 1.2B and 1.1B views, respectively.

As the second runner of BLACKPINK’s solo projects following JENNIE, ROSÉ has set a remarkable record before her song has unveiled in full-scale. The attention of the global fans proved that ROSÉ shall bring a global sensation, which makes the people look forward to her upcoming solo release.
