ROSÉ’s Solo Debut Single Tops ‘Global YouTube Song Top 100’

According to YouTube’s latest charts(3/12~3/18) announced on the 21st, ‘On The Ground’ was ranked at no. 1 on the Global YouTube Song Top 100. It also became the most watched MV in the world for the past week.
After its release on the 12th, ‘On The Ground’ topped iTunes Top Song charts in 51 different countries. The song was also ranked at no. 41 on UK’s Official Chart ‘Singles Top 100’, which is known as one of the two biggest global charts along with US Billboard. ROSÉ is the first-ever Korean female solo artist to be ranked in the according chart. BLACKPINK was the only group to enter the chart with ‘Kill This Love’(no. 33), ‘How You Like That’(no. 20), ‘Ice Cream’(no. 39), and ‘Lovesick Girls’(no. 40). The song was ranked at no. 8 on Spotify, the world’s biggest music platform.
The MV is also popular and has surpassed 100M views on YouTube on the 20th. The record was achieved in approximately 7 days and 16 hours since its release, and is the fastest Korean female solo artist record in history. The video has reached 41.6M views in 24 hours since its release, which was also the biggest record in K-Pop female solo artist history.
Approximately 280 thousand copies of ROSÉ’s first-ever solo single album ‘R’ were sold in a day since its physical release, becoming the no. 1 album on the Hanteo Chart. The initial sales record is expected to increase since the album received over 500 thousand pre-orders. The number of pre-orders ‘R’ received is also the biggest record in Korean female solo artist history.
