[엑스포츠뉴스=전아람 기자] BOBBY of iKON decided to halt his solo activities originally scheduled until the end of February. It is because BOBBY has expressed his opinion that he would like to focus on iKON’s comeback and their preparing for Mnet ‘Kingdom’.

On February 10, YG Entertainment announced, “We decided to accept BOBBY’s opinion and will wrap up the official promotional activities for BOBBY’s second solo album [LUCKY MAN], originally scheduled until the end of February”.

BOBBY has received favorable reviews for his music on his solo album released on January 25, as well as achieving successful results on major global charts, proving his unchanged popularity.

Ending the promotional activities in 2 weeks rather than after over a month, which is usual for most artists, will be frustrating for BOBBY himself and his fans.

However, BOBBY is currently full of passion. He revealed his determination by stating, “iKON’s comeback on March is imminent, and I thought I should focus on preparing and practicing for Mnet ‘Kingdom’ which will premiere on April 1. I will join the other members practicing hard everyday and present an amazing performance full of surprises”.

After regrouping as a 6-member group, iKON established their new direction by releasing their third mini album ‘i DECIDE’ last year on February. The album proved iKON’s broad musical spectrum and growth, as well as topping iTunes Album Charts in 24 different countries.

Meanwhile, iKON will begin shooting for their MV this week and make comeback on March.

Their appearance on Mnet ‘Kingdom’ is also a matter of interest. iKON will be appearing on Mnet in 5 years, and it will be their first time appearing in an audition program other than YG’s self-produced survival programs.

The people are looking forward to what kind of changes and attempts iKON will make to grab the hearts of music fans, as the group has released numerous hit songs such as ‘MY TYPE’, ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, and ‘KILLING ME’.
