According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ dance performance video surpassed 500M views on YouTube as of January 6 at 7:05 AM. The record was achieved in approximately 183 days since its release last year on July 6. BLACKPINK became the first-ever K-Pop group to reach 500M views through a dance performance video.
In fact, there are no rivals. BLACKPINK is continuing their unrivaled march in racking up hundreds of millions of views through dance videos. ‘How You Like That’ is a song that presents the message of flying high despite any hardships, accompanied by a powerful beat. The song achieved a ‘perfect all-kill’ on 6 major Korean music platforms, was ranked at no. 2 on Spotify’s Global Top 50 Chart, and topped iTunes charts in 64 different countries including the US. The song was also ranked at no. 20 and at no. 33 on the UK Official Singles Top 100 and the Billboard Hot 100 respectively, proving their global presence.
BLACKPINK’s presence on YouTube is also growing day by day. BLACKPINK has a total of 25 videos with over 100M views. They currently are the second most subscribed artist in the world with over 55.3M YouTube channel subscribers.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently preparing for their livestream concert ‘THE SHOW'(YG PALM STAGE – 2020 BLACKPINK: THE SHOW) to be held next year on January 31.
