YG TREASURE Reveals Selfie Version MV of ‘B.L.T’
[동아닷컴=홍세영 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASAURE revealed the selfie version MV of ‘B.L.T (BLING LIKE THIS)’, a song from their second single album, on October 4.
The video showed the members’ variety of charms at once through its edits which reminded the viewers of a half-camera film. The lovely yet exciting charms of the 12 members of TREASURE continued throughout, making the global fans’ hearts flutter.
TREASURE revealed their bright and positive energy in places which fit the fresh vibes of the song ‘B.L.T’, both individually and in groups. The childlike looks on their faces as they enjoyed playing in the pool and watching fireworks emphasized TREASURE’s pure boyish charms.
‘B.L.T (BLING LIKE THIS)’ is a song with retro sounds added on top of Future House, which broadens TREASURE’s genre spectrum. The song states the will to go back in time and regain one’s time and memories metaphorically, through a road made by the galaxy and starlight.
As a group presented by YG in 4 years since BLACKPINK, TREASURE made debut on August 7 as a major rookie group that targets the global market. They then made a speedy comeback in approximately 40 days with their second single album titled ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER TWO’, which achieved success and proved the group as the biggest rookies of K-Pop this year.
The title song ‘I LOVE YOU’ topped iTunes Top Song charts in 9 different countries on the date of its release, as well as topping the Real-time chart of Line Music, Japan’s biggest music platform, in addition to the Weekly and Monthly charts of Rakuten Music. The song ‘B.L.T (BLING LIKE THIS)’ also received favorable reviews among the fans, which made them request for the song’s MV.
