TREASURE Reveals ‘YG’s New Headquarters’ for the First Time Through a Dance Practice Video..”Cutting-Edge Facilities”
[엑스포츠뉴스=최희재 기자] Group TREASURE revealed YG’s new headquarters for the first time through a dance practice video.
YG has recently announced the completion and move-in to the new headquarters. YG’s new headquarters, constructed in 8 years, is 10 times larger than its previous headquarters in surface area.
The exterior design of the building has been known for quite a while, but the interior of the building was never revealed to the public. The dance practice room of the new headquarters, revealed through the dance practice video for ‘I LOVE YOU’, is already receiving attention and positive reviews from global fans.
YG explained, “The previous training room was small for all 12 members to freely perform when we shot the dance practice video for TREASURE’s ‘BOY’, which made them uncomfortable while shooting” and added, “The interior construction is still ongoing, but we used the room in necessity for the members to perform freely without limitations”.
The 12 members of TREASURE performed ‘I LOVE YOU’ more naturally and comfortably in the training room located at the new headquarters, with a large LED screen installed.
The video was shot is one-shot one-take method, making the viewers expect the deepened and enlarged space of the dance practice room. The installed LED screen showed 3D motion graphics and neon lights which were shown through the MV, adding glamorousness to TREASURE’s dynamic moves.
It is one of the reasons why people are already looking forward to the upcoming choreography videos of YG artists, including BLACKPINK who will soon make comeback.
YG’s new headquarters has a total of 7 dance practice rooms. What grabs the people’s attention is that each training room is named after YG artists.
The room where TREASURE shot their latest video is the ‘BIGBANG’ training room, which is one of the biggest training rooms. The room next door is named after ‘BLACKPINK’, and YG explained that there is also a room named after TREASURE.
YG explained, “The rooms have perfect soundproof, wireless mic systems for all 12 members, and other cutting-edge music facilities, which satisfies artists of our agency”.
TREASURE, who has made debut approximately a month and a half ago, has released their second single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER TWO’ on the 18th and are expanding their influence in the global market at a fast pace.
Their title song ‘I LOVE YOU’ topped iTunes Top Song charts in 9 different countries on the date of its release and was ranked at no. 1 and no. 3 on Rakuten Music and Line Music’s Weekly charts respectively, proving their popularity in Japan.
YG stated, “For TREASURE’s recharge after their restless schedules, we gave them a full-break for 5 days during the Chuseok holidays from September 30”. They added, “We advised them to rest completely with an interesting guideline, ‘Do not enter training rooms’”.
Meanwhile, 4 among the 12 members of TREASURE who are from Japan(YOSHI, MASHIHO, ASAHI, and HARUTO) cannot leave the country due to the COVID19 situation. It is known that other Korean members will invite them to their homes to spend the holidays together.
