On September 28 at 9 AM, YG Entertainment uploaded the teaser poster for ‘Lovesick Girls’ through their official blog.
In the dark background which looked like the streets at night, the members leaned their shoulders on each other. The 4 members of BLACKPINKS reminded the viewers of the wandering youth.
BLACKPINK’s unique character and aura as a group remained, but the members’ lonely facial expressions looked special.
Considering the title ‘Lovesick Girls’, the song is expected to cover wounds or pain from love, making the people look forward to the story BLACKPINK will tell through the song.
BLACKPINK is raising anticipation on their upcoming comeback by presenting various teaser contents.
Teaser clips of JENNIE, JISOO, ROSÉ, and LISA containing their dreamlike charms had noir vibes, raising curiosities on the concept of their upcoming official debut album.
BLACKPINK will release their long-awaited official debut album ‘THE ALBUM’ on October 2, in 4 years since making debut. As they will target the global market, the release time will be 12 AM in US EST and 1 PM KST on the same day.
Since BLACKPINK’s pre-release singles ‘How You Like That’ and ‘Ice Cream’ from their upcoming official debut album both became tremendous hits and raised the group’s presence in the global music market, the fans are highly anticipating the upcoming album.
‘How You Like That’ received an award at the US MTV Video Music Awards and was selected as ‘The Best Song of the Summer’ by YouTube. Furthermore, the song ‘Ice Cream’ collaborated with Selena Gomez was ranked at no. 13 on the US Billboard ‘Hot 100’ chart, renewing their own best K-Pop girl group record.
