YG’s Rookie Group TREASURE Reveals Behind Stories From the ‘BOY’ MV Shooting…’Beagle-like Charms vs Charisma’
[스포츠조선닷컴=김준석 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE revealed the behind video of their ‘BOY’ MV shooting scene.
In the video, TREASURE entered their first MV set with their debut coming up. The 12 members gathered in the futsal arena with bright lights and prepared for their group dance shooting. They checked their routine and motions until the shooting began with sincerity, unlike their mischievous charms they’ve shown outside of stages.
When the shooting began, TREASURE presented an overwhelming group dance on top of the fierce beat of ‘BOY’, grabbing the viewers’ attention. The members checked their moves after careful monitoring and did their best to complete a perfect stage.
On the following ‘Second episode of corner within a corner by PARK JEONG WOO’, JIHOON·YOON JAE HYUK·ASAHI·HARUTO·PARK JEONG WOO gathered. They recited the lyrics of ‘BOY’ in their mellow voices, making the viewers feel the song’s differentiated charm. YOON JAE HYUK stated, “It feels so good to do this with our debut song”.
It was the second day of their MV shooting. The 12 members shot individual scenes on each differentiated set, representing their originalities. TREASURE revealed their charms and teen-crush vibes at a climbing set, a futsal arena, a swimming pool, and a major stadium.
On the following ‘Corner within a corner by PARK JEONG WOO’, CHOI HYUN SUK·BANG YE DAM·PARK JEONG WOO·SO JUNG HWAN gathered. They introduced the MV set and raised the mood with a point dance lesson on ‘BOY’.
TREASURE’s energy was full until the end of the shooting. JUNKYU and PARK JEONG WOO had a surprise dance battle. They presented freestyle dances of ‘COME TO ME’, a song from their debut single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’, and JUNKYU became the winner after presenting a choreography full of swag.
In the end, the group performance of ‘BOY’ was presented through the clip. They wore unified outfits and decorated the ending glamorously by presenting an amazing group dance.

TREASURE’s MV for their title song ‘BOY’ surpassed 1.7M views on YouTube, in 5 days since the video was released, while their channel subscribers have surpassed a total of 1.8M. Their debut album physical copy pre-orders, scheduled to be available starting from August 13,a have surpassed over 200 thousand today, getting one step closer to setting the biggest record among all K-Pop artists who have made debut this year.
