‘A 6 Minute TREASURE’ Special Broadcast
[동아닷컴=전효진 기자] Rookie group TREASURE spent a healthy and happy time in celebration of their first Christmas since making debut, and shared warm words for the fans.
On December 24 at 12 PM, YG Entertainment uploaded ‘A 3 Minute TREASURE – Christmas Episode’ through their official blog. It was a special episode that was 6 minutes long.
TREASURE came up with the mission of ‘completing tree decoration in 3 minutes’ and challenged it themselves. While focusing on decorating the Christmas tree in an amicable mood, the members played with each other, smiled at the camera, and revealed their unique beagle-like charms by spraying snow at each other, which made the viewers smile. They were thrilled like children after looking at the completed tree and enjoyed the mood full of excitement while singing Christmas carols.
TREASURE also held a sitting cushion quiz regarding Christmas. The person who guesses the most right answers was to become the ‘Santa of the day’ who will hand out Christmas presents. However, all members performed well unlike expectations, leading to numerous tiebreakers. BANG YE DAM answered the final nonsense quiz specially set to determine the winner and was appointed as the 2020 TREASURE Santa.
Various items were included in the Christmas presents. The members of TREASURE shared creative and precious gifts including a Bungeoppang pan, broccoli, ladybug-shaped mini vacuum cleaner, a phone case, and handmade items while making special Christmas memories. JUNKYU who received JIHOON’s debit card headed to the convenience store but instead of showing off ‘FLEX’, he enjoyed the happiness of ‘3 thousand won’, which made the viewers burst into laughter until the end.
TREASURE shared their bright and positive message by greeting, “Merry Christmas”.
TREASURE has won the Rookie of the Year Award at the ‘2020 Asia Artist Awards’ as well as winning the honor of receiving the Best New Male Artist Award and a Main Award at the ‘2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards’, in 4 months since making debut.
The 3 single albums TREASURE has released since August have reached a total of over 700 thousand album sales, while all 3 title songs from the albums have topped global charts including the Top 100 chart of Line Music, which is Japan’s biggest music platform, as well as Rakuten Music’s Real-time Comprehensive Rankings.
