YG TREASURE Successfully Holds Live Broadcast with Global Fans, “Happy Every Day After Making Debut”… Reveals TMI
[OSEN=김은애 기자] YG TREASURE captured the global fans with their charms differentiated from what they’ve presented on stage.
On August 14, TREASURE held a Blue Room Live through their official Twitter account.
TREASURE is YG”s major rookie group launched in 4 years since BLACKPINK. The group is composed of 12 members including CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU, MASHISHO, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, BANG YE DAM, DOYOUNG, HARUTO, PARK JEONG WOO, and SO JUNG HWAN.
Leader CHOI HYUN SUK revealed, “It is our first time holding a Blue Room Live and it feels great to be with you”. Leader JIHOON added, “We still can’t believe we made debut. We will work hard to become artists who the people can look forward to”.
JUNKYU asked, “We are happy every day after making debut, and we will become TREASURE who can pass on the happiness to you. Please listen to ‘BOY’ a lot and show us love”.
TREASURE had their first music broadcast performance on the 9th through SBS ‘Inkigayo’. JUNKYU stated, “It was our first music broadcast performance, so even the air was frightening. It was scary but fun”. CHOI HYUN SUK recalled, “We met many senior artists, so the members were nervous” and added, “We prepared hard to present our performance to you”.
TREASURE also had time to answer the fans’ curiosities. TREASURE was asked on superpowers they would want to have.
JIHOON stated, “Traveling around the globe is in my bucket list” and added, “So I would like to have teleportation abilities”.
TREASURE also followed CHOI HYUN SUK’s “Shh! TREASURE” part within ‘BOY’. BANG YE DAM presented it in R&B version, while ASAHI showed off his goofy and cute charms.
Furthermore, JUNKYU chose sweet and sour chicken as his favorite food. HARUTO chose cup ramen he eats at night.
CHOI HYUN SUK answered the question asking the most interesting events in the accommodation. He revealed, “We play games and have small fun. We spend a lot of time in the training room these days”. JIHOON revealed the group’s teamwork by adding, “It’s fun just to look at the members’ faces”.
TREASURE also revealed what they would like to achieve. PARK JEONG WOO hoped, “I would like to wrap up the day in good condition”. MASHIHO yelled, “Being happy with everyone”. HARUTO also showed his aspirations by stating, “I would like to answer with my personal aspirations. I want to challenge on becoming a model”.
In the end, PARK JEONG WOO stated, “I want to work hard, be active, and have fun with all of our members”. MASHIHO showed frustration by stating, “Is it already over”. SO JUNG HWAN added, “There are more things we would like to show our Treasure Makers”. TREASURE then finished their broadcast after introducing their album CD.
TREASURE became group to have sold the most physical copies among all K-Pop rookies who have made debut this year. According to Hanteo charts on the 14th, TREASURE’s first single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ has reached over 120 thousand sales and is at no. 1 on the album sales real-time chart.
The sales volume of TREASURE’s album has already surpassed the previous record this year(sales within a week after the album’s release). As a result, TREASURE has left a meaningful footprint on the first day of their album’s physical copy release.
TREASURE’s title song ‘BOY’ has topped iTunes Song charts in 19 different countries including Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia after its release on the 7th. The ‘BOY’ MV also surpassed 10M views in 26 hours on YouTube and will soon reach 20M views, proving their influence uncommonly seen among rookies.
Furthermore, ‘BOY’ has shown a rising trend on the Top Song 100 chart of Line Music, Japan’s biggest music platform, and has topped the according chart for 3 consecutive days.
