TREASURE to Release First Single Album Today(23th)… ‘Reserved’ as the Biggest Rookies of K-Pop in 2020
[한경닷컴=이준현 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE released the physical copies of their debut album today(13th).
With the global fans’ attention, they’ve surpassed over 200 thousand pre-orders, reserved to reach the biggest sales among all K-Pop rookies who have made debut this year.
TREASURE’s first single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ was released in two versions, white and black, both with gradation covers.
The CD contains the title song ‘BOY’ and ‘COME TO ME’, in addition to the instrumental versions of the songs that have not yet been revealed. The 150-page photobook, random photocards, and random holograms also raise possession value of the album.
The initially produced copies will include a double-sided poster and a ‘FIND TREASURE’ scratch card. Those who get 12 treasures after scratching the card will receive special benefits.
The pre-orders for TREASURE’s ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ became available last month on the 29th and have surpassed 100 thousand orders in 2 days, 150 thousand in 3 days, and 200 thousand yesterday on the 12th.
This is the biggest order volume among all rookie artists from YG and stands out among all K-Pop rookies who have made debut in 2020. The pre-order volume increased rapidly in Japan and China, making the people realize their global popularity which the group has been targeting from the start.
The song is also at an upward trend. The title song ‘BOY’ topped iTunes Top Song charts in 19 different countries on the date of its release as well as topping Japan’s Line Music Top 100 Daily Chart on the 11th and on the 12th, for 2 consecutive weeks. It proves that their no. 1 on Line Music, Rakuten Music, and AWA were not a coincidence. It makes the people look forward to TREASURE’s global activities.
With their popularity, many music fans are subscribing to TREASURE’s YouTube channel. TREASURE’s official YouTube channel has added approximately 400 thousand new subscribers after the group has made debut, adding up to a total of 1.81M subscribers. The MV for ‘BOY’ will soon reach 20M views as well.
TREASURE is a rookie group launched by YG in 4 years since BLACKPINK. The group is composed of 12 members including CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU, MASHIHO, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, BANG YE DAM, DOYOUNG, HARUTO, PARK JEONG WOO, and SO JUNG HWAN, who are full of ‘teen-crush charms’.
