[OFFICIAL] AKMU to Make Comeback in 2 Years and 2 Months… A Surprise Teaser Clip Revealed
[스포츠조선=백지은기자] AKMU, the ‘national sibling duo’, will make comeback.
Since AKMU released ‘SUMMER EPISODE’ back in July 2017, the group will revisit their fans with new music in approximately 2 years and 2 months.
On September 5 at 10 AM, YG Entertainment revealed their first teaser poster, notifying AKMU’s comeback, through their official blog. The horizontal poster in blue-tone which reminded viewers of a piece of art featured with AKMU’s new logo grabbed the people’s attention.
As the music will be their first release since LEE CHAN HYUK was discharged from the army on May, the expectations are higher than ever. It will also be LEE SU HYUN’s first album being released after she turned into her 20s, which hints that they will make comeback with more matured musicality.
AKMU has been vacant in the music scene for the past 2 years since LEE CHAN HYUK’s military service in the marines. LEE SU HYUN has continued to meet her listeners by taking the role as a DJ on KBS Cool FM ‘AKMU SUHYUN’s Raise the Volume’. She was also active as a panel judge on JTBC ‘Superband’ and appeared on ‘Begin Again 3’ to show off her matured musical talent.
AKMU signed with YG Entertainment after winning 1st place on SBS’ ‘K-Pop Star Season 2’ back in 2012. They have then since released songs with witty lyrics and melodies such as ‘200%’, ‘Give Love’, ‘LAST GOODBYE’, and ‘DINOSAUR’.
