BLACKPINK ROSÉ Reveals Vertical Cam of ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, Presents Perfect Choreography

[한국경제TV 디지털이슈팀=유병철기자] BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ revealed her music broadcast vertical cam, which presented her perfect choreography of ‘KILL THIS LOVE’.
On April 10 at 9 AM, YG Entertainment revealed the music broadcast vertical cam of ROSÉ performing ‘KILL THIS LOVE’. The video focuses on ROSÉ during BLACKPINK’s performance on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 7th.
ROSÉ presented choreography which made it look as if two people were performing one move using her hands and arms, while creating harmony with her teammates. In addition, she grabbed the people’s attention with her fierce charisma which fit perfectly with the lyrics, ‘I’ll kill the breath of love’.
She shined the stage with the cannon-shooting and hand heart-breaking point moves of ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, along with the dynamic group dance during the climax performed with other dancers.
The video of BLACKPINK’s performance on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ surpassed 15.35 million views in 2 days since its release. The video surpassed 10 million views in a short period of time, which is unprecedented among music broadcast videos. The figure proved the fans’ attention towards BLACKPINK, who made their comeback in 9 months.
The choreography video of ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ released on the 9th is also accumulating high view counts, and is currently at 12.26 million views. BLACKPINK who currently has 5 choreography videos with over 100 million views, is expected to add another video with over 100 million views in their collection through ‘KILL THIS LOVE’.
The MV for ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ wrote a new world record as the most watched video on YouTube in the first 24 hours. The video also surpassed 100 million views in 2 days and 14 hours, surpassing records held by global Pop stars.
After making comeback with their EP album titled ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ on April 5, BLACKPINK topped iTunes Song charts in 37 different regions of the world including the US, the country with the largest Pop music market. They wrote another meaningful record by becoming the first K-Pop girl group to top the according chart.
Furthermore, ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ was ranked at no. 4 on the Global Top50 chart of Spotify, which is the biggest music platform of the world. The song also entered the US Top50 chart as no. 35, proving the global fans’ attention on BLACKPINK.
BLACKPINK will head to the US this week to perform at Coachella Festival, on April 12 and 19. The group will then begin their North America tour on the 17th starting in Los Angeles to will meet their local fans.
