SECHSKIES appeared in “Radio Star” show… “Natural-born idol group”
[스포츠조선=조윤선 기자] SECHSKIES boasted their irresistible appeals in “Radio Star” show.
SECHSKIES members (KANG SUNGHOON, EUN JIWON, LEE JAIJIN, KIM JAEDUCK, and JANG SUWON) appeared in November 30’s episode of MBC’s “Radio Star” show, which was aired in the night under the title of the episode “Now, here, us, Radio Star… four words”.
In the show, SECHSKIES members caught the eyes of viewers by presenting their fancy looks much upgraded than five months ago. They became even more good-looking than they were 16 years ago, to the extent that nobody can believe that they are soon to turn 40. As such, SECHSKIES looked just like a natural-born idol group. In addition, SECHSKIES fascinated viewers by boasting their seasoned sense of humor that included the latest humors and old-school humors.
KANG SUNGHOON caught people’s eyes with his pink hair and was teased by the other members for the hair from the beginning of the show. KANG SUNGHOON counterattacked the others by saying, “I didn’t want to wear this hair, too. I’m almost forty and I was worried that my fans would hate me because of this hair.” Then, he expressed his pride in the hair, saying, “I was really nervous but it looks better than expected”.
EUN JIWON was picked as the most changed member and labeled as the “icon of rejuvenation”. The MCs of the show asked him “Is it true that you visit the dermatologist voluntarily after SECHSKIES’ comeback?” and EUN JIWON showed responsible attitude as the leader of SECHSKIES, saying, “If I were a solo singer, I would not have done that. However, as I’m working in this team, I don’t want to ruin the image of the team”. Plus, he talked about how much he was nervous before the release of “THREE WORDS”, SECHSKIES’ first new song in 16 years. He expressed his gratitude for fans by saying, “I was so nervous. I was worried and anxious that our reunion after 16 years of separation might not achieve success as much as expected, but fans loved us much, so I’m really grateful”.
LEE JAIJIN was still an off-the-wall guy. Lee said that he got close to SHINHWA’s Kim Dongwan after sharing the same hobby, but drew a clear line between himself and Kim Dongwan, saying they were not friends. Plus, regarding the reason why he did not give his number to the other members, Lee answered, “I did not give my number in fear that their friends might ask me a difficult favor. I’ll give my number after the performances for our new album end”, to puzzle the other members.
JANG SUWON attacked EUN JIWON, saying that he is like a nagger at drinking parties. EUN JIWON rebutted, “I’m doing what I have to do though belatedly, as I have found out so many things about you since the reunion of the team”. EUN JIWON and JANG SUWON continued to quarrel childishly, talking about what each of them is like in drinking parties. Revelations and rebuttals were exchanged. Finally, EUN JIWON revealed his character, shouting “You have drunk with me five times for the past 20 years. Is that many?” All the people burst in a big laughter, but JANG SUWON never stopped. JANG complained about sitting next to EUN JIWON every time they get on a plain. According to him, the seat next to EUN JIWON’s is regarded as a “penalty seat”, as Eun Jiwon disturbs the one who sits next to him so that he cannot fall asleep and enjoys seeing him suffer. EUN JIWON made all the people burst into laughter again, saying, “I must sit next to JANG SUWON no matter what, when we travel overseas”.
KIM JAEDUCK expressed his never-ending love for Tony. Kim boasted his special affection for Tony, saying, “When Tony feels depressed, I clean the fridge in our house and take the photos of the clean fridge to send them to him. These days, I can’t see him as much as I did, because I’m so busy working as SECHSKIES.” He also surprised everyone, confessing that he and Tony once cried while drinking together, expressing their gratitude for each other. EUN JIWON was firmly against Tony and KIM JAEDUCK’s living together, but he also thanked Tony, saying, “I know it is not easy for H.O.T to come to SECHSKIES’ concert, but Tony came to our concert and even promoted it”.
In “Radio Star” show, SECHSKIES explained the concept of their new album. EUN JIWON said, “The concept of our new album is ‘RE’. We put our past hit songs in the new album. Many people asked us why we’re coming back with past songs that were popular 16 years ago, not with new songs. The songs we sang in the past were for six members. Now, we have only five members so we had to edit KO JIYONG’s part off and re-record the songs. So, we decided that it would be better to release a new album with the new versions of our past hit songs”. Then, he raised music fans’ anticipation by announcing that SECHSKIES’ new songs will be released in January next year.
In the show, SECHSKIES also presented live-performances of the rearranged version of “Couple” and “Love” to be released in SECHSKIES’ new album to be released on December 1, as well as “THREE WORDS”.
