“We’re Dance Artists Too” SECHSKIES Shines as 4 Members (ft. Comeback Notice)

SECHSKIES proved their status as the ongoing legend and top dance artist group. EUN JIWON, LEE JAIJIN, KIM JAEDUK, and JANG SUWON filled up the venue as 4 and responded to the yellow waves.
From October 13~14, SECHSKIES held the concert ‘SECHSKIES 2018 CONCERT ‘Here·Now·Again’ in KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Arena).
KSPO DOME is where the group held their reunion concert in 16 years. They met the fans in the same stage in approximately 2 years.
The concert venue is filled with young teens, people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, waving their yellow sticks regardless of age and gender.
The group introduced themselves by stating, “Hello, we’re SECHSKIES”. “We’re holding a concert in a very long time. We’ve spent time together in our 20th anniversary. Now it’s our 21st year, which has now almost passed. We welcome all our fans”.
#Here, Now, and Again
The title of the concert ‘Here, Now, and Again’ was decided by SECHSKIES themselves as they were inspired by the lyrics of their fan song, ‘Three Words’. ‘Here Now’ refers to the current SECHSKIES formed due to the fans’ support, while the word ‘Again’ refers to looking back into old memories. It also has the meaning of hoping to spend a happy future with the fans ‘Yellow Kiss’.
EUN JIWON stated, “The title of this concert is ‘Here, Now, and Again’. We’ve went strong from the opening with songs like ‘Reckless Love’. I never get used to that song. It’s an amazing title”.
#SECHSKIES, the Dance Artists
SECHSKIES presented strong performances from the beginning, through songs including ‘Armageddon’, ‘Flying Love’, and ‘Reckless Love’. EUN JIWON, KIM JAEDUK, JANG SUWON, and LEE JAIJIN dominated the stage with their sharp group moves and strong charisma.
EUN JIWON explained, “We wanted to reveal songs we weren’t able to. That’s why we chose ‘Flying Love’ as the opening”. He added, “We’re a dance group whether we’re good or not, so we wanted to perform a dance”.
Meanwhile, SECHSKIES touched the fans’ emotions while performing ‘LAST’ and ‘Three Words’. EUN JIWON and LEE JAIJIN turned into soft vocalists and captured the fans’ ears.
#Talk (ft.YANG HYUN SUK)
SECHSKIES is also known for their talk, as much as their teamwork. The fans waited for not only the group’s performances, but also the talk. After presenting dance performances from the beginning, EUN JIWON stated, “My body’s tired but my mind feels ease”. JANG SUWON stated, “I thought my body broke after yesterday’s concert”, while EUN JIWON added, “I thought I had a traffic accident”.
KIM JAEDUK also explained, “The desert came into my mouth” after the performance, while EUN JIWON replied, “Let’s stop this”, making everyone burst into laughter.
SECHSKIES also mentioned YG Entertainment’s representative producer, YANG HYUN SUK. JANG SUWON revealed, “I listen to ‘Comeback Home’ and ‘The Devil’s Act’ when I’m sad”. EUN JIWON added, “You can’t forget ‘The World Where the Weak Lose’, mentioning his previous hits. LEE JAIJIN followed YANG’s choreography himself, making the crowd cheer.
#The Hard Work by 4 Members
Unfortunately, KANG SUNGHOON was not able to participate due to various reasons. SECHSKIES had to change their plans abruptly but satisfied the fans with a high-quality concert. The hard work by EUN JIWON, JANG SUWON, LEE JAIJIN, and KIM JAEDUK payed off.
LEE JAIJIN stated, “Doing a concert feels like an audition. I must prove to be stable. It burdens me. I get very nervous”. JANG SUWON added, “LEE JAIJIN did not eat today for a slim and fast performance”.
The members explained, “LEE JAIJIN prepared a long time for his solo performance”. JANG SUWON stated, “He’s done six rehearsals” while EUN JIWON stated, “LEE JAIJIN did his best. Please praise him. KIM JAEDUK also worked hard on his solo dance”.
KIM JAEDUK revealed that he practiced alone in his house. “I’ve done my best, but it’s hard. I miss half a beat, and the choreography falls”.
EUN JIWON emphasized, “We wanted to be like the original SECHSKIES. We’ve performed consecutive dancing tracks from the opening. We’re dance artists”, touching the fans’ hearts.
LEE JAIJIN stated, “My heart became hot again more than ever due to this concert. It’s not easy for us to meet our fans if not for opportunities like these”.
#Unique Live + Perfect Performances
The vocals by EUN JIWON, KIM JAEDUK, and LEE JAIJIN’s vocals stood out in this concert. The three members created a beautiful harmony with JANG SUWON. SECHSKIES’ sharp group dance also put the people in awe.
The audience could not take off their eyes on SECHSKIES as they performed songs including ‘Sad Song’, ‘Feeling’, ‘Three Words’, and ‘Be Well’, the songs released after their reunion, and their old songs including ‘Road Fighter’, ‘Hunch’, ‘Couple’, ‘Rise Up’, and ‘Reckless Love’.
They also performed old songs from their album, which were never previously performed. The performances of ‘I Don’t Want to Show You the World’ and ‘Flying Love’ became surprise presents for the fans.
The solo performances by members also brought attention from the fans. EUN JIWON presented a Hip-hop performance by performing ‘NOW’, while JANG SUWON touched the fans’ ears by performing ‘Girl’. KIM JAEDUK and LEE JAIJIN performed with masculinity by performing ‘We Still in This Bitch’ and ‘Egoist’, respectively.
The concert direction also caught attention. The large stage using 9 cubed LEDs added completion to SECHSKIES’ performances. The glamorous fireworks and lasers positioned on the center ceiling of the stage provided various sights and eye-candy for the fans, grabbing their attention.
#Sincerity of SECHSKIES
SECHSKIES tried hard to eye-contact with fans while performing on stage. The fans responded by cheering to the members and singing-along.
SECHSKIES made the hearts of fans cry by writing, “Times have split us apart. Sorry for letting you down with our backs turned around”.
Also, videos containing the sincerities of SECHSKIES members were revealed during the middle of the concert. The heart-touching sincerities of members that went unnoticed were revealed for the fans.
The members also revealed how they overcome sadness. KIM JAEDUK stated, “I eat delicious food when I’m sad. I eat meat. Like hunger that goes away when you eat delicious food, the sadness goes away as well”. EUN JIWON explained, “I don’t store sadness in my heart. I let my instincts control them. When I shed tears, I cry until I have no more tears”. JANG SUWON revealed, “I listen to music when I’m sad”.
In the end, SECHSKIES revealed their determination of moving on forward. EUN JIWON stated, “Brother YANG HYUN SUK said he same thing. SECHSKIES will make comeback with good songs. The songs are too good, so we have a hard time trying to decide. We will come back for the fans in good shape”, noticing the release of their new album.
He continued, “We’ll come for you whenever we have a chance. We’ll present ourselves in more improved form than we are in now”.
LEE JAIJIN expressed his gratitude towards the fans by stating, “Thank you for visiting the concert” while JANG SUWON stated, “We will not rest even when the concert ends. We will keep on recording until the end of this year. We will try to come back to you soon”, asking for the fans’ support.
