iKON creating sensation upon comeback… Third time to sweep No.1 on all major music charts in Korea
[일간스포츠=황미현 기자] Group iKON swept No.1 on all major music charts in Korea for three times in a row.
iKON released “APOLOGY”, the title track of their new double single, as well as “ANTHEM”, a sub-title track on November 16 at 0 o’clock. Unlike “APOLOGY”, an R&B song with slow tempo, “ANTHEM” sang by the duo of BOBBY and B.I is an original hip-hop music.
iKON took No.1 on Korea’s biggest music-streaming website Melon upon the release of “APOLOGY”. Then, as of the morning on the 16, iKON is in the top place on Melon, Bugs, Olleh Music, Soribada, Genie, NAVER, and Monkey 3. If iKON takes No.1 on Mnet, too, that makes iKON take No.1 on all major music charts in Korea for the third time.
“ANTHEM”, the sub-title track, took No.2 following “APOLOGY”. With such record, iKON is showing off their enormous potential as a “monstrous rookie”, sweeping the No.1 and No.2 places on all major music charts in Korea.
Now, the focus of interest is “how long” iKON will stay in the top places on charts.
iKON swept No.1 on all music charts with their debut song “MY TYPE” and stayed in the top place for a week, without any TV performance for the song. Then, “RHYTHM TA”, “AIRPLANE”, and “TODAY” also recorded big success on charts, following the footsteps of “MY TYPE”.
iKON will release a full album on December 14.
