WINNER thanks YG as it tops Inkigayo: 3 Trophies in a week
[OSEN=선미경 기자] WINNER successfully seized 3 trophies in just one week of their debut as the group topped the chart on Inkigayo.
On SBS’s Inkigayo aired on August 24, WINNER topped the chart with their title track “empty.”
KANG SEUNGYOON commented, “We thank Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK who always trusted what we did and the staff members. I love you mom and dad!”
Not only did they knock down all the charts with their debut album “2014 S/S” immediately after its release, but they also lined up charts with several songs. In just 5 days of their TV debut, they received two trophies on Mnet’s M Countdown and KBS 2TV’s Music Bank.
“empty” is a joint production of B.I and BOBBY from TEAM B and written by SONG MINHO, which sings about the emptiness that comes after a breakup.
Other artists like Kara, Bangtan Boys, Orange Caramel, Taemin, Secret, Say Yes, Play the Siren, Ryu Suk Won, Sunny Hill, Chaness, JJCC, Stellar, and Boys Republic were on the show to deliver dynamic performances as well.
