[스포츠월드=윤기백 기자] Boy group WINNER won their first no. 1 on a music broadcast with ‘MILLIONS’ after making comeback.
According to the official website chart by Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’, WINNER’s new single ‘MILLIONS’ was placed at no. 1 on the third week of December, allowing them to win their first no. 1 trophy after making comeback.
Due to the ‘2018 MAMA Hong Kong Special’ aired on the 27th, the ‘M Countdown’ live broadcast was cancelled. WINNER’s ‘MILLIONS’ revealed on the 19th is a fresh song in a Pop/Dance genre that whispers love to a lover.
The song was written and composed by the members themselves using their upgraded musical caliber. YOON, MINO, and HOONY were credited as the lyricists while YOON, Diggy, and Kang Ukjin participated in the composing of the track to raise the song’s completion to its max.
WINNER who’s currently placed at the top ranks on Korean music charts has proven the group’s strong presence not only in Korea, but also through global charts. The song ‘MILLIONS’ topped iTunes Song Charts in 19 different regions including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Peru, Argentina, Philippines, and Thailand, proving WINNER’s global popularity.
With the momentum, WINNER’s ‘MILLIONS’ was placed at no. 1 on the K-Pop MV Chart of QQ Music, which is China’s largest online music platform. Furthermore, the song was also placed at no. 3 on the Comprehensive New Releases Chart that takes all Chinese and global music into account, while the song was ranked at no. 11 on the popularity chart.
WINNER will perform grandiosely on MBC ‘Gayo Daejaejun’ airing on the 31st and meet the fans on the year-end.
