WINNER Receives Praises from US Billboard… “The Bright Whistle Synth Effects Sound Impressive on ‘MILLIONS’”!
[한국일보=김한나 기자] US Billboard favorably reviewed and spotlighted WINNER’s new single, ‘MILLIONS’.
On December 19 (local time), Billboard introduced WINNER who made comeback in 8 months since they last released their 2nd official album ‘EVERYD4Y’ back in April by writing, “WINNER, the K-Pop quartet made a fantastic comeback with a Tropical Pop dance track, ‘MILLIONS’”.
Billboard praised WINNER’s new single ‘MILLIONS’ by writing, “It’s a dance track that gives the listeners a good feeling” and added, “The snappy drum beats and the bright whistle synth effects sound impressive”.
On the MV or ‘MILLIONS’ which is gaining popularity with its sensual vibes and vibrant colors, Billboard reviewed that it’s like a ‘festive few minutes of WINNER playing around one another on an avant-garde and luxurious set”. They added, “The colorful balloons, cherry blossoms, and the fancy fireworks also goes well with WINNER and grab the viewers’ attention”.
Billboard also raised expectations on WINNER’s upcoming schedules by writing, “WINNER will visit a total of 7 cities in North America through their first-ever North America tour after the release of ‘MILLIONS’”.
WINNER who received the spotlight from Billboard is currently dominating various charts as soon as their new single ‘MILLIONS’ was released. ‘MILLIONS’, released on December 19 at 6 PM, topped all 7 major Korean music charts as soon as the song was released and is still maintaining its top position until now.
The song ‘MILLIONS’ is also gaining popularity overseas. The song topped iTunes Song Charts in 19 different regions of the world including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Peru, Argentina, Philippines, and Thailand, proving WINNER’s global influence.
The members of WINNER presented their more matured musical capabilities by participating in the writing and composing of their new single, ‘MILLIONS’. YOON, MINO, and HOONY were credited as the lyricists of the track while YOON, Kang Ukjin, and Diggy participated in the composing of the track to add more completion. Physical copies of the new single will be available starting from the 24th through YG SELECT and nationwide retailers on/offline.
