AKMU’s “200%” Takes No.1 in 5 Weekly Music Charts for 2 Weeks in a Row
[스타뉴스 윤성열 기자] AKDONG MUSICIAN, or AKMU, (LEE SOO HYUN & LEE CHAN HYUK) has taken the No.1 on major weekly music charts for two consecutive weeks.
According to the weekly chart of Korea’s biggest music-streaming website Melon on the 23 (for the week from April 14 to 20), “200%”, the title track of AKMU’s first full-length album “PLAY”, is in the top place. During the same period, the song is also in the top rank on four weekly charts of Mnet, Genie, Olleh Music, and Naver Music.
That makes AKMU top five weekly charts again following the second week of April (Apr. 7-13), boasting continuing power on music charts. Plus, they are enjoying a continuous popularity, taking the second place on three other charts including BUGS, Soribada, and Daum Music.
“200%” is a love song with a cheerful rhythm. It is about a feeling of not being able to say anything in front of a person of secret crush, despite an all-night-long preparation to confess the love. The song was released on the 7 and it has been creating sensation sweeping the No.1 places on 10 major real-time music charts upon being released.
Meanwhile, “Can’t Hide It” of group 15& (Yerin and Jimin) is also in the first place on the weekly chart of Soribada and Bugs, and Lee Sunhee’s “Meet Him among Them” is also on the first place on the weekly charts of “Daum Music.
