Choi Ji Woo Joined YG, What’s the Lineup of YG Actors?
[마이데일리 = 전원 기자] Actress CHOI JI WOO has transferred to YG Entertainment. CHOI’s transfer is attracting attention to other actors of YG Entertainment.
On the 26, YG announced that it has signed an exclusive contract with CHOI JI WOO.
The contract made CHOI JI WOO join the lineup of YG artists including singer PSY, BIGBANG, 2NE1, and EPIK HIGH, actor CHA SEUNG WON, YIM YE JIN, JANG HYUN SUNG, JUNG HYE YOUNG, KU HYE SUN, and YOO IN NA. YG has been famous as the label of popular singers so far, but now, the company is expanding its business to actor management by scouting top actors and actresses including CHOI JI WOO.
YG Entertainment expects that the company’s global management carried out in cooperation with its Japanese subsidiary YG JAPAN and Chinese subsidiary YG ASIA established in Hong Kong for penetration into the Chinese market, will create a synergy for CHOI JI WOO’s overseas career.
CHOI JI WOO made her debut by winning the 23rd actor audition of MBC channel in 1994, and has been established herself as one of the top Korean Wave stars through her acting in TV drama series “Winter Sonata”, “Stairway to Heaven”, and so on. She has been recharging herself recently, after her acting for SBS channel’s “The Suspicious Housekeeper” last year.
