BLACKPINK Adds More North American and European Shows to 2025 World Tour
[스포츠서울=원성윤 기자] Following the announcement of their 2025 World Tour, BLACKPINK is set to expand the tour with additional performances across North America and Europe. According to YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK has confirmed additional shows on July 13 in Los Angeles, July 23 in Toronto, July 27 in New York, August 3 in Paris, and August 16 in London, totaling five new performances.
With these additions, BLACKPINK will meet fans in a total of 10 cities over 18 shows during their 2025 World Tour. The tour will kick off with two nights on July 5 and 6 at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium, followed by shows in Los Angeles on July 12, Chicago on July 18, Toronto on July 22, New York on July 26, Paris on August 2, Milan on August 6, Barcelona on August 9, London on August 15, and concluding with three nights in Tokyo on January 16, 17, and 18 next year.
The newly added dates will take place in stadium-sized venues capable of accommodating tens of thousands, underscoring the unyielding global influence and popularity of BLACKPINK. This marks their first tour since the record-breaking [BORN PINK] tour, which attracted about 1.8 million attendees, about a year and a half ago.
Particularly notable is their performance at London’s Wembley Stadium, known as the ‘stage of dreams’, where BLACKPINK will be the first K-pop female artists to perform, marking a historic milestone for K-pop girl groups. The tour’s kickoff at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium is also set to be a premiere event for K-pop girl groups, aligning BLACKPINK with world-renowned musicians once again.
A YG spokesperson commented, “After the initial tour announcement, we received an overwhelming number of inquiries from fans, prompting us to release the additional dates sooner than planned. As fans in each country have already shown tremendous support, we hope they look forward to the exciting news we have yet to announce.”
