BLACKPINK Announces Massive 2025 World Tour, Marking K-POP Girl Group’s Historic Wembley Debut
[스포츠월드=정가영 기자] BLACKPINK is set to kick off their 2025 World Tour with stadium-sized performances, as revealed in their ambitious plan for the year. YG Entertainment unveiled the first phase of the “BLACKPINK 2025 World Tour” today on their official blog. The tour’s itinerary, which spans across Korea, North America, Europe, and Japan, is highlighted in the newly released poster.
According to the announcement, BLACKPINK will begin their tour with two days of performances on July 5th and 6th at the Goyang Stadium in Korea, followed by concerts in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, and Tokyo, covering a total of ten cities.
The venues planned for the concerts are all large stadiums capable of accommodating tens of thousands of people. Notably, their London Wembley debut marks the first time a K-POP female artist has entered the “dream stage” of pop’s homeland in the UK. Additionally, the standalone performance at Goyang Stadium is also a first for any K-POP girl group.
This world tour positions BLACKPINK once again alongside global music legends, with performances scheduled at LA’s SoFi Stadium, Chicago’s Soldier Field, Toronto’s Rogers Stadium, New York’s City Field, Stade de France in Paris, Ippodromo Snai San Siro in Milan, Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, and the Tokyo Dome.
YG Entertainment stated, “We are preparing a tour that is on par with the ‘BORN PINK’ tour, which rewrote the history of K-POP. We are working to deliver the greatest scale and top performances ever seen. Please stay tuned for more areas and dates to be announced.”
